Larry went home today after putting in 28 straight days of hard work, turkey sandwiches, late night baseball and afternoon thunderstorms. He did a great job! My posting has become even more important since I'm sure he is going to keep close tabs via this blog from North Carolina! We'll try to keep everyone in line, Dad! ;)
The wood arrived today and is in the house acclimating. Wayne plans to start this Saturday.
This is the slab of recovered cherry that will eventually become our countertop/vanity. The good side, which will be face up is absolutely gorgeous! However, you are looking at the bad side, which in my opinion isn't all that horrible!
